The MB7UNI IGATE / DIGI-peater

A photo of some of the equipment that runs MB7UNI is shown below.

MB7UNI's keeper is Ken M0DQS and is operated from the same building as myself (M0UNI)
in central Stoke-on-Trent, location 53deg 0.745' N, 2deg 10.803W.

It's operating frequency is 144.800 Mhz in the 2m amateur band.
The Digipeater is also an IGATE with a broadband link to the internet.

The output power is 25W from a Yeasu FT-2600M transceiver.
Data is transferred between the transceiver and a PC using a Kantronics 9612 TNC.
The Digi-peater also has a remote shut-down system too, designed by M0DQS and M0UNI.
Also in the photograph is the LAN / Fibre network switch which connects it to our fibre network.

In the next few weeks we hope to modify the antenna system to improve the Digi-peater's range.

73 everyone.
